"Rideshare program helping Fresno County’s rural areas – with electric vehicles"
FRESNO, California (KSEE) – A new electric rideshare program began in Fresno County Monday, designed to serve areas underserved by current transportation options.
“We want to alleviate those barriers and allow people to get where they need to be in a timely fashion and comfortably while not polluting the environment,” said Matthew Gillian, the Founding Director of Inspiration Transportation.

"It's freeing to know you can get where you need to be, when you need to be. I hope this provides an opportunity for folks to get to more of their health appointments they need to keep up with one's health, to access more education, to access workforce development," said founder Matthew Gillian.

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — Inspiration Transportation announced on Monday the launch of REV-UP, a rural electrical vehicle utilization project — its new electric rideshare program available for residents in rural unincorporated communities in Fresno County.
The project is in partnership with the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA); it will offer $5 round-trip rides in all-electric 2020 Chevy Bolts.
A new electric rideshare program is bringing a jolt to transportation systems in Fresno County. Inspiration Transportation, a public charity organization in the San Joaquin Valley aiming to provide sustainable transportation to underserved communities, announced this week the launch of its new electric rideshare program available for residents in rural communities in the county.
The new REV-UP program (rural electric utilization project) will offer $5 round trip rides in all-electric 2020 Chevy Bolts as part of a partnership with the Fresno County Rural Transit Agency (FCRTA).
