About

Implementing sustainable transportation services in underserved communities throughout the San Joaquin Valley.

Founded in 2017, Inspiration Transportation develops robust partnerships and engages stakeholders across the San Joaquin Valley with the mission of providing sustainable transportation to underserved communities.

Utilizing its leadership's prior experience with ride-sharing platforms, as well it's involvement with the Fresno Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Collaborative's community engagement process, Inspiration Transportation draws on direct community feedback and data from local organizations to identify high-need areas where public transit is not accessible or viable, and implements programs to meet the specific transportation needs within each community.

In 2019, the American Lung Association ranked Fresno at the top for being one of the most polluted cities in the country, underscoring the importance to develop, implement, and market zero-emission transportation as critical to a community's health. Inspiration Transportation coordinates its services alongside social service organizations who have expressed the need for clients to access low or no-cost transportation to travel to jobs, healthcare appointments, grocery shopping, and other basic needs.

Inspiration Transportation provides electric, micro-transit transportation to help fill service gaps in areas where fixed-route public transit is not accessible. Short-term rider benefits of this method of transportation include but are not limited to improved accessibility, greater reliability and predictability, and reduction in transit time. Long-term benefits of replacing emissions-based vehicles on fixed routes with electric vehicles on flexible routes include improved air quality, as well as a myriad of health and social/emotional benefits achieved when families in rural and impoverished communities are able to efficiently and affordably travel to work, school, healthcare appointments, and grocery stores.
